American homecoming worth the wait
It is no secret that the Americas is the largest market for Articulated Dump Trucks in the world and we took the opportunity to re-enter this market with the Bell brand at the end of 2012 with open arms, particularly considering the timing in our company’s history and the slight upturn in the global economy.
We were mindful that this is a mature market where other global leaders have been well entrenched for many years with established dealer networks. But not to be intimidated, we rolled up our sleeves and got to work - as is the Bell Way - setting up our own infrastructure, selecting and appointing our own dealers, training our representatives and getting our trucks into the marketplace.
The response to our company and our ADT product in the Americas has been welcoming and overwhelming, surpassing all expectations both in terms of the number of dealers appointed and unit sales.
CONEXPO 2014, held in Las Vegas at the beginning of March, gave us a unique and timely opportunity to showcase our new E-series range as well as our 50-tonner. More importantly we were able to meet face-to-face with our dealers and customers alike to build on our initial relationships and momentum. We appreciate the effort shown by those who came and visited us at our stand.
I would like to take the opportunity to thank all our dealers and customers around the globe for putting their faith in the Bell brand and our products. As Team Bell we are continually looking at ways of innovating and doing business smarter to ensure we meet or surpass your expectations.
Sincerely
Gary Bell
Group Chief Executive
