Bell Germany honours long service award recipients
Published: 23 January 2025
Bell Equipment Germany proudly celebrated the long service achievements of sixteen team members in 2024, recognising ten employees for twenty years of service and six for ten years at the 2024 Bell Germany Long Service Award Dinner. The event paid tribute to the commitment, loyalty, and excellence that have shaped the success of the company’s Kindel factory.
In his address, Bell Equipment’s Director: OEM Supply Chain & Northern Hemisphere Manufacturing, Aldo Mayer, reflected on the factory’s journey from its inception 21 years ago to its status as a cornerstone of Bell Equipment’s global operations. “Twenty-one years ago, it was little more than a vision, a blueprint on paper and a lot of hard hats on site. I remember walking around the construction site as the walls went up, thinking about the potential that lay ahead. When we opened our doors, there was a lot of hard work, uncertainty, and excitement. Those were the days of long shifts, a small team figuring things out as we went, and a shared belief in what we could achieve together.
“For our 20-year recipients, you were there almost from the start. I still remember sitting down with some of you in your interviews during those early recruitment days. You didn’t just sign on to a job; you helped lay the foundation for what this factory has become. Your contributions in those early days were instrumental, and your continued dedication is the reason we are here today, thriving and growing.
“To our 10-year recipients, you joined us at a time when the factory was already in motion, but you brought fresh energy, new ideas, and a commitment to excellence. Tonight, we celebrate the impact you’ve made over the past decade, and I know the future holds even greater things.”
Aldo also highlighted Bell Equipment’s broader achievements, including the production of the 8 000th truck at the Kindel factory, coinciding with the company’s 70th anniversary year. “A remarkable achievement that is a testament to the skill, dedication, and hard work of everyone in this room. Each of those trucks represents not just a product, but the effort, innovation, and teamwork that make the Kindel factory what it is. This milestone is something every one of us can take pride in,” he said.
Bell Equipment Group Chief Executive, Ashley Bell, was unable to attend the event but sent a heartfelt message: “As we celebrate many years of change, navigating the ups and the downs, and the hard work that each of you have invested, we want you to know that we appreciate your commitment.
“On behalf of our extended Bell family, we want to say the following to you. Firstly, congratulations on the achievement of your long service award. Thank you for your time and input into our company, for your trust and your work ethic. Thank you to your families too, for their loyalty and devotion in supporting you. We appreciate you! We recognise and cherish it all…

You, and your fellow team members, are key to ensuring our success. From humble beginnings in South Africa, we are proud of our presence in Germany and what we as a team have achieved globally.
“As the world changes, so we will need to adapt and change to survive. Change is good as it helps us to learn and grow. We are counting on each of you for your ongoing contribution, through innovative thinking and commitment, to take Bell to the next level. We are excited about our future. Let us make a difference, be the change, and make a real impact to take our business from good to great, over the coming decades.”
