The Bell Equipment Germany team turned out in their running shoes on Saturday, 19 September 2026, to once again take part in the biennial “Alsfeld in Motion” charity and corporate run. The weather was perfect for the more than 40 teams – almost 900 runners – who took part.

Bell Germany has been a supporter since the inaugural event in 2011. Since that time, donations and entry fees have raised about 80 000 Euros, which is used for sports projects for children and young people in the region.

The run starts and finishes at the Alsfeld marketplace with teams of all sizes arriving with bright, creative outfits and unusual team names. Traditionally challenge trophies, in the form of stone blocks with engraving plates, are presented to the fastest runners, the team with the best name, and the largest team. Each year’s winners are added to the engraving plate after each event.

Bell won the best team name in 2019 with “Highway 2 Bell”, so this year the team captain and co-organiser, Tobias Appel, set his sights on the largest team award. Although the 37 registered runners recruited from the European Logistics Centre in Alsfeld and the factory in Eisenach-Kindel was a record attendance by Bell, the company finished in fourth place, with the Krause-Werke team taking the honours with 90 participants. Vogelsberg Palliative Network won best team name with “Beyond the Horizon, It Goes On”.

The aim of the day is to encourage well-being and togetherness. After a fun warm-up with gymnastics exercises in the market square, the teams set off together at 2:15 pm for two rounds through the old town and Erlenpark. Slowly the field of runners stretched in the streets with the most ambitious taking the lead while the more leisurely runners were happy to hang back and enjoy being part of the event. There was no pressure, everybody was free to run at their own pace.

Sebastian Bleuel was the first Bell runner to reach the finish line, and Katharina Kemper and Sina Zimmer, were the fastest female Bell runners, and finished together.

Commenting on the event, Tobias said: “It was fantastic to see the Bell brand so well represented. Apart from the large Bell team running in Bell shirts, we also had the Bell Beat Point along the route – a music station powered by DJ Tobi, which provided extra motivation and fun for the runners. Well done to all our Bell participants for supporting the charity run and the town. We can be proud of our local engagement.”
