Adopting the theme, ‘Driven by solutions’, Bell Equipment and its American master distributor, Bell Trucks America (BTA), will highlight the practical, built-in advantages of the Bell Articulated Dump Truck range and its customer-focused solutions at CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2026.
“Muddy ground, long shifts and fuel costs are just some of the real-world challenges our customers face on job sites, and we aim to showcase our solutions to these problems, and more,” says Bell Product Manager, Brad Castle.
“For example, our Bell B20E, equipped with standard low ground pressure tires, will be on display as a compact, durable solution that shares the same DNA as our larger trucks, offering the benefits of low ground pressure characteristics in soft underfoot conditions and environmentally sensitive areas.”
Popular and well proven in the United Kingdom and mainland Europe, the B20E LGP features powerful engine and drivetrain components and the complete Bell package of proven machine control and assistance systems for advanced levels of comfort, safety and productivity.
The emission-compliant Mercedes-Benz 4-cylinder diesel engine provides 228HP (170 kW), enabling the B20E LGP (with a rated payload: 39,683lbs (18t); gross: 76,044lbs (34,5t) to perform with a similar power-to-weight ratio to the larger Bell B30E. Power is transferred through a six-speed Allison automatic transmission with optional integrated retarder, ensuring smooth gear changes and actively contributing to fuel efficiency.
Ultimate traction
To ensure ultimate off-road capability, the B20E LGP’s 6×6-drivetrain is equipped with the latest Bell automatic traction control technologies. Brad elaborates: “Interaxle differential lock (IDL) and limited slip differentials on all axles provide full traction on deep wet ground or soft and sandy areas while fully sealed wet brakes on the front and middle axles comply with extreme conditions and reduce maintenance to a minimum.”
Superior flotation, another crucial off-road requirement, is guaranteed by low profile, extra wide 800/45 R30.5 tires that provide significantly low ground pressures under full load. The B20E LGP is the only ADT capable of operating in similar applications to tracked machines, with the added benefit of longer hauls.
Key to the machine’s versatility is its extremely tight outer turning circle radius of 24ft 11in (7 585 mm), which guarantees maximum maneuverability in close working environments.
With its low ground pressure, the Bell B20E LGP is suitable for site stripping in difficult sandy or muddy underfoot conditions. It also guarantees quick access to remote construction sites, such as wind farms, or projects in environmentally sensitive areas, where larger machines require extensive preparation or cause excessive underfoot damage. The 20-tonner also operates in most adverse weather conditions ensuring all-year utilisation with a great return on investment.
Another low ground pressure solution, the Bell TC7A Tracked Carrier, will also be on display. With a payload capacity of 7 tons (15 432lb), the TC7A comes standard with combination bin/bed where the sides can drop down and has a purpose-built ROPS and FOPS certified cab with ease of access and superior visibility.
“What sets our Tracked Carriers apart is our unique balanced six-roller undercarriage with compound walking beams that provide an evenly spread footprint with optimal ground pressure contact and less track-point loading. This results in exceptional operator comfort, promotes longer track life, and reduced ground pressure,” says Brad.
According to Brad, the uses of the base unit are many and varied. “One of the reasons we were first asked to design the Tracked Carrier was for pipeline projects in the United States where sites are in remote areas that are difficult to access. In the initial stage of a project Bell Tracked Carriers are the only machines that can access these areas and minimize environmental damage.”
The TC7A is also available as a cab chassis option without a bed, which makes them extremely versatile carriers for a variety of components, such as drill rigs, hydroseeding tanks, cranes and personnel carriers.
“The beauty of the Bell Tracked Carrier is that the options are endless, their performance is assured, and they have also been proven to offer an attractive return with rentals,” he concludes.
