2022 - Tracked Carrier introduced to Europe at Bauma
- JCB Agriculture distributed alongside the Bell Forestry & Agriculture range in South Africa.
2021 - BESSA becomes the distributor for the full line of JCB construction equipment.
2020 - Bell takes its industry leading technology underground with new side-mount low profile ADTs.
2019 - BECSA and BESSA conclude a BBBEE transaction and become 51% black owned as at 1 January 2020. Expansion of the Eisenach-Kindel Factory sees Bell become a global manufacturer.
2018 - Gary Bell becomes chairman of the board and is succeeded as chief executive by Leon Goosen. The ALC opens its doors. Phase 3 expansion of Eisenach-Kindel plant gets underway to facilitate European bin manufacture.
2017 - In southern Africa Bell adds Kobelco excavators to its range and enters the tipper truck market with Kamaz trucks.
2016 - Large E-series Articulated Dump Trucks released to the market.
2015 - Series IV Haulage Tractors introduced. Bell concludes a two-year investment into new, upgraded CSCs in Middelburg, Nelspruit and Rustenburg in South Africa as well as Kitwe, Zambia.
2014 - B60D set to revolutionise bulk earthworks. Matriarch enters the market. Bell celebrates 60 years in business along with the 50th anniversary of its tri-wheeled product and 30 years of ADT design and manufacture.
2013 - Bell Equipment launches the new E-series ADT and is granted distributorship rights for the Terex Finlay range of mobile crushing, screening and recycling equipment.
2012 - Bell Equipment re-enters the Americas and commences the appointment of distributors and dealers in the region.
2011 - Bell Equipment establishes beachhead in Russian market and secures distribution rights for Liebherr excavators in Africa.
2010 - Series lll haulage tractors make their entry.
2009 - Bell Equipment takes over the Bomag dealership with the German-based OEM.
2008 - A Global Logistics Centre is commissioned in Jet Park, Johannesburg.
2003 - Truck assembly operations commence in Europe.
2002 - Bell unveils the world’s largest Articulated Dump Truck, the B50D.
2001 - Bell releases Series ll haulage tractors into the market. Also, a new standard of excellence is set with the launch of the D-series ADTs.
1998 - The Bell C-series ADT and wheeled loader ranges are launched.
1989 - Bell targets heavy duty mining applications with the launch of the B40 Articulated Dump Truck.
1984 - From the new production facility in Richards Bay, South Africa, the first Articulated Truck enters service.
