our story
Seventy years ago, Irvine Bell started a small engineering workshop in Empangeni to serve
the local KwaZulu-Natal sugarcane farming community. Here is the story of how
a humble company at the southern tip of Africa defied the odds and grew into a global
original equipment manufacturer.
Today, Bell Equipment operates in over 80 countries and employs more than 3 500 people worldwide. Its product range includes 47 machines, with 27 focused on mining and
construction and 20 for forestry and agriculture.
